Wilma Nicholson

Wilma Jean (Miller) Nicholson, 89, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Wilma was born on December 22, 1923 in Marengo, Indiana to the late Gus & Eschol (Denton) Miller. She was united in marriage to Lowell E. Nicholson and spent 59 years together until his death in 2007. Wilma worked for W.R. Grace for many years and then for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture until 2001. She loved basketball, softball, and was an avid swimmer, which she did well into her late 70's.

She is survived by her sons, Victor Nicholson, Bruce Nicholson, & Jeff Nicholson; grandson, John Nicholson; granddaughter, Juliana Johnson; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Landon, Elias; sisters-in-law, Janet Miller & Zelma Nicholson. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Nicholson; brother, Charles Miller.

Her Memorial Gathering will be held from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Marengo United Methodist Church (1449 N. Hardy Road, Marengo, IN). With her Service at 4 P.M. Cremation was chosen following Wilma's wishes.
