Wilma B. Mahan

Wilma B. Mahan, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Wilma attended both Louisville and Eminence Grade Schools and went on to attend both University of Louisville and Jefferson Vocational Technical School. These are her favorite memories spending Saturday nights with her daddy and brother (Claude) at night laying beside her dad and him telling them stories from the Bible. She was baptized as Jehovah's Witness on 11/1/11 at The Kingdom Hall. She always loved laughing, drinking coffee and getting a good laugh with others. Wilma will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was born on September 29, 1950 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to Will and Zelma (Foree) Mahan. She is preceded in death by her Father, Will L. Mahan, Mother, Zelma Sadie Mahan, Son, La'Darioees Jared Stone, and Granddaughter, Ashley S. Mahan.

Wilma is survived by her loving family, Daughter, Rhondalyn LaVonda Thompson; Bonus Daughters, Florence "Lady" Etta Maye and Tanja M. King; Grandchildren, Nyyatta L. (Michael) Hall, Giovanni L. (Desiree) Gardener, Pamela D. White, Joshua R. (Chanicka) Hicks, Robert D. Lee, and Ja'Torrie D. Mahan; Great-Grandchildren, Jermeisha S. Gardener, Mekhi J. Hall, and 20 Great-Grandchildren; Brother, Claude A. (LaVeeda) Mahan, Sr., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
