Wilma Dabney

On February 12, 2016, Wilma "Billie" Dabney was welcomed by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ cheered on by a throng of friends and relatives. She was a housewife and homemaker. Billie graduated from Cincinnati Bible Seminary. She married Horace W. "Butch" Dabney. She was a charter member of Southeast Christian Church and most recently Hikes Point Christian Church.

Billie's life was marked by a love for her Lord, family, and always placed others welfare ahead of her own.
She was born in Hammond, IN in April 17, 1918 to the late Will and Myrtle Hay. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Horace W. "Butch" Dabney and brothers, Olin and Wallace Macy Hay.

Billie is survived by her two children, Bob (Barbara) Dabney and Larry (Martha) Dabney; grandchildren, Andy (Julie) Dabney, Jerri (Darren) Foote, Tim (Keri) Dabney; Beth Ann (Troy) Graybeal, and Daniel (Kelly) Dabney; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be on February 16, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Louisville East (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville) and on February 17, 2016 from 9:00 am to 10:45 am at Southeast Christian Church (920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville) in the Fireside Room with service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville).
