Willie Lorraine Gray

Willie "Lorraine" Gray, age 76 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. Lorraine was born on August 20, 1946, in Louisville, KY and returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, August 18, 2023. She attended Eastern High school and joined the retail workforce for a short time after graduation. She then went to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield from where she retired in 2010.
Lorraine accepted Christ as her lord and savior and was baptized at an early age. She became a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served God faithfully for many years. She and husband Clement "Butch" Gray were married December 18, 1983, and enjoyed 40 years of marriage. She was preceded in homegoing by her parents Mathew "Dickie" Beckham and Rena Beckham; son, Reginald; brother, Doug Beckham; and sisters, Rose White and Donna Sue Beckham.
Along with being a loving wife, Lorraine was the beloved sister of Barbara Bradford-Hines, Lamont and Terry Beckham; and mother of Reginald Thompkins Jr. and Schhaya and Schaun (Crystal) Gray.
Lorraine was a fun- loving spirit with a zeal for life and an unconditional love for her church family. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and of course Bingo!
Lorraine was adored by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. Although she is no longer with us in body, she shall remain with us in spirit.
A gathering to celebrate Willie's life will be 10am to 1pm on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. Graveside prayers will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, Kentucky.
