Willie Elwood Calloway, 76, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 in New Albany, Indiana.
Willie was born in Logan County, Kentucky to the late James A. & Margaret (Grinter) Calloway. He worked for B.L. Curry & Sons for many years where he later retired.
Willie is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy (Smith) Calloway; children, Rochelle Calloway, Delecia Smith (Derrick), & Arlána Glenn (James); brother, James Calloway (Josephine); grandchildren, Adrian (Kristen), Trinity, Derian, Demari, Jamè; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce and brothers, Douglas & Robert Allen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 11:00 am at Jones Memorial AME Zion Church (258 Ealy Street, New Albany, IN). Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow the service at Westhaven Cemetery in New Albany.
