William Douglas Ziegler
August 12, 1956 — October 5, 2022
William D. "Ziggy" Ziegler, age 66 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022. He was retired from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office after 37 years of service. William was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer L. Schueler Ziegler; father, Donald William Ziegler; and his brother, Thomas L. Ziegler.
William is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn Ziegler; daughter, Stephanie Harwood (Patrick); grandchildren, Jackson W. Harwood and Marlee L. Harwood; brother, Kenneth J. Ziegler (Paula); sisters, Cathy L. Ziegler and Brenda L. Hill (Buddy); several nieces and nephews; his furbaby, Allie; as well as many great family and friends.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of William's life will follow at 11am, with entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park.
