William Raymond Zehnder

William Raymond "Bill" Zehnder, 78, passed away on August 1, 2023. He was an Air Force veteran who proudly served his country. Bill was a member of Moose Lodge #5 and Fulltone Athletic Club. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, softball, bowling, darts, pool and cards. Bill had a loving and kind spirit and could always put a smile on your face. He will be truly missed, but will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jewell Zehnder.

Bill leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Bev Zehnder; daughters, Kimberly Lynn (James) Shelton, Kristi Lynn (Mark) Gabbard and Kelly Lynn (Todd) Chaffins; grandchildren, Zac (Taylor) Gabbard, Ariel (Daylon) Whaley, Tyler Chaffins, William Shelton, Jewelia Shelton and Zoe Gabbard; great-granddaughter, Lilly Mae; two more great-granddaughters on the way and a host of friends.

A memorial gathering for Bill will be Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Moose Lodge #5, 4615 Fegenbush Lane, Louisville, KY 40228, from 2pm-6pm with Air Force honors starting at 5pm followed by a Moose Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Moose Lodge #5, 4615 Fegenbush Lane, Louisville, KY 40228, in Bill's memory.
