William Harold Traver

September 7, 1953 — April 30, 2019

William Harold Traver, 65, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Bill was a long-time figure 8 racecar driver at Sportsdrome Speedway and Salem Raceway. He spent 43 years as a truck driver and most recently worked for 10 years with Estes Express. Bill enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his family and his dogs.

He was born on September 7, 1953, in Warsaw, Indiana, to the late Richard and Mary (Shafer) Traver. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his Sisters, Donna Traver and Carol Lewis.

Bill is survived by his loving Wife of 46 years, Deborah Traver; Daughter, Stephanie (Danny) Branham; Grandsons, Justin (Cortney) Branham and Gage Branham; Brother, Rick (Karen) Traver; and Sister, Mary Lou (Fermon) Russell.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
