William T. Norris, Sr.

William T. "Bill" Norris, Sr., 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, formerly of New Albany, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at his residence with family at his side. Bill was a long-time cook at Tommy Lancaster's Restaurant and also worked at Regional Federal Savings Bank in New Albany. He was affectionately known by family and friends as "Pop". His family was his world and knows that he is in a better place. Bill will be missed by all.

Bill was born on September 27, 1927 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Henry Vernon and Zula May Norris.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Annie Belle (Goodrich) Norris; sons, Albert Dumas and his wife, Jackie, Errol Alexander Dumas, all of Houston, Texas, Julia Norris, William T. Norris, Jr., and his wife, Carol, and Ronald Norris and his wife, Christi, all of New Albany; grandchildren, Romero Norris, Ronald Ray (Audrey Moreillon), Elizabeth Norris, Krystal Harris, Joshua Williams, Kimberly Dumas, Jason Dumas, Trenton Norris, Ashlee Norris; and great grandchild, Aaliyah Ray.

The visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM Monday, July 19, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana (formerly Generations Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN).
The Funeral Service will be at 11 AM Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home followed by entombment at SCI Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
