WILLIAM (BILL) CARROLL SLEADD
Bill Sleadd, 72, of Louisville, KY, passed away Thursday, January 05, 2012, in Louisville, Ky.
He was born in Louisville, KY and grew up in Middletown, KY. He was a 1958 graduate of Eastern High School and grew up as a member of the Middletown Baptist Church.
He previously worked at Middletown Recreation, and owned The Middletown Cab Company, before moving to Georgia and working in dietary services in healthcare facilities.
He recently returned to Louisville and lived at the Christian Care, Friendship House.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Bernard Bland Sleadd and Annabelle Gladwell Sleadd; his sister, Helen Douglas Sleadd Rice; and his brother, Dr. Franklin Bland Sleadd.
He is survived by his devoted friend, Aline Brown, brothers and sisters: Bernard Allen Sleadd (Marilyn Mullins), Eustis, FL, Mary Lou McGinnis, Nancye Ann Tandy (Mike), James Thompson Sleadd (Janet), and Phyllis Jean Roos (Robert), all of Louisville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held January 11, 2012, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr., from 5 pm to 7 pm with service at 7. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Crusade for Children.
