William Larry Sims

William Larry Sims, born October 9, 1950, peacefully passed away on February 18, 2024, with his cherished family by his side. He was the eldest among five sons born to Bill and Christina Sims.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dale. He is survived by his cherished wife of 52 years, Diana Sims, his loving daughter Danna Robinson (Billy), grandchildren Taylor, Courtney (Tony), and Keith, great-grandchildren AJ (Bug) and Isabella (Little Princess)", brothers Bobby (Doris), Howard (Laura), and Glenn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who hold him close to their hearts.

Larry found joy in playing the guitar and singing; 25 years of his life was dedicated to playing in a band. He treasured moments spent playing cards with his family and creating memories at Rough River alongside lifelong friends. His devotion to family, especially his grandchildren, was unparalleled, and he found immense fulfillment in his roles as Dad and Paw.

Larry's departure leaves a lasting void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love will endure and inspire for generations to come.

Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 3rd at Riverside, The Farnsley - Moremen Landing (7410 Moorman Rd, Louisville, KY 40272).
