William Sexton

July 19, 1943 — September 19, 2013

William "Bill" Sexton, 70, of Louisville, KY, passed away on September 19, 2013. He retired from Galt House and was a member of Highland Park First Baptist Church. Bill volunteered for the Iroquois High School Athletic Department and worked with Boy Scout Troop 2 and Pack 171. He was also a proud Mason and past Master.

Bill was born on July 19, 1943, in Louisville, KY to the late Robert and Lillie Mae Sexton. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Sexton (Mary Lou) and sister, Joan Strange (Creal).

Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, JoAnn (Burton) Sexton; sons, David Sexton (Denise), Tommy Sexton, and Robbie Sexton; grandchildren, Gracie-Mae and Jaden Sexton and seven additional grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Danny Sexton; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, September 23, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
