William R. "Bill" Nunn, 67, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on June 20, 2012. He was an army veteran and retired in 2000 from Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers, where he worked as a vending mechanic and parts manager. Bill had many hobbies in life which included racing, super stock cars, Nascar, and UofL sports. He was a member of the Central Cardinal Club, the Ohio Valley Vette Association for over 30 years, and Scottsville Christian Church in Floyds Knobs. Bill had a love for classic cars, especially Corvettes and his Impala, "Cain & Nunn," finishing 3rd in the nation in 1978.
Bill was born on July 1, 1944 in Hart County, Kentucky to the late Howard and Ruby M. (Huff) Nunn. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Geraldine Nichols, Cecil and Kenny Nunn.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Becky L. (Smith) Nunn; sons, Eric, Chad, Shay Nunn (Heather); siblings, Roger Nunn, Linda Jones (Dave), Margie Lathery, Doug Nunn (Betty); grandchildren, Lauren, Gabe, and Emma Nunn.
His Visitation will be 2 to 8 PM Friday, June 22, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Cemetery in Floyds Knobs.
