William Maupin Ii

William "Joe" Maupin, II, 66, of Sellersburg, Indiana passed away on January 22, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Joe was a member of Heartland Church of the Nazarene in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. He was an electrician, spent many years working for CSX, and in his retirement was a handyman and enjoyed doing landscaping. He was also a family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Joe was born on February, 25 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to William J. and Agnes L. Maupin. He was preceded in death by his son, William J. Maupin, III.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gail (Zant) Ratliff Maupin; children, Timothy J. Maupin of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Tonya S. Webb and her husband, Brian, of Sellersburg, Tiffany L. Mallory and her husband, Brian, of Clayton, Ohio; step-daughter, Melissa G. Neal and her husband, David, of Floyds Knobs; siblings, Flo Trinkle and her husband, John, Mike Maupin and his wife, Debbie, Tina West and her husband, Harry, Pat Hogan and her husband, Jim, Tony Maupin and his wife, Dina, all of Louisville; grandchildren, Lindsey Payton, Daisy and Bailey Mallory, Hunter and Maddie Webb, Emma and Nelson Neal.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 PM on Sunday, January 23 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) and on Monday, January 24 from 9 AM till 11 AM at Heartland Church of the Nazarene (6901 Old Vincennes Road, Floyds Knobs). His Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Monday at the church with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
