William Lindsey Stratton
March 19, 1927 — February 26, 2014
William L. Stratton 86, returned home to his Heavenly Father on February 26, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born in Shelby County on March 19, 1927. He was proud to serve his country and was a WWII veteran and retiree from the Porter Paint Company.
He is survived by Isabell Stratton, son, Steven(Jeannette)Stratton and granddaughter, Lindsay; daughter, Marilyn Sue Taylor, brother, Charles Stratton and sisters; Catherine White and Marjorie Austrew and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Stratton and parents, Paul and Elsie Stratton and late wife, Oneita Stratton.
A celebration of William's life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,KY on Sunday March 2, 2014 from 12:30-2:30pm with service to follow at 2:30pm. Burial will be at Middletown Cemetery.
A special thank you to Friendship Manor Nursing Home for their compassionate care and to Hosparus of Louisville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or The American Cancer Society.
