William L. Osborne

July 22, 1944 — April 3, 2013

William L. "Bill" Osborne, 68, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Robley Rex Medical Center in Louisville, KY. Bill served in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad Co. ,was a lifetime member and a past post commander of the VFW Post 1693, American Legion #28. He took pride in working with the community and Jack Messer on the maintenance and upkeep of Market Street Memorial Plaza.

Bill is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Bobby Flack as well as granddaughter, Noel Osborne. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Osborne of New Albany; children, Michael Osborne and Melody Osborne of Louisville; step-daughters, Kari Snelling of New Washington and Theresa Jacobs of New Albany; mother, Jenny Flack; siblings, Tommy Flack, Betty Livingston, Shirley Price, Viola Parish of Louisville;nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 6 PM Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place on Monday at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
