William Edward Kohorst

William Edward Kohorst passed away in Louisville, KY, on October 22, 2024. He was born to the late Dr. William R. Kohorst and Cynthia Kelly Kohorst. A proud graduate of Purdue University, William dedicated his career to the healthcare industry while actively pursuing postgraduate degrees.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Destin Leigh Kohorst (Kunker), and their cherished daughter, Channing Marie Kohorst, age 5. He leaves behind his younger sister, Caroline Marie Kohorst of Denver, CO, as well as his loving in-laws, William and Lisha Kunker of Crestwood, KY, and numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Will had a zest for life and enjoyed deep sea fishing, sailing, and gardening. He will be remembered for his infectious humor, zany voice impersonations, and his unwavering support for the Republican Party.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kentucky Humane Society in his honor. A Memorial gathering in honor of William's life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown, KY, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, with a celebration of life service to follow at 5:00pm.
