William Eric Knopf, 41, passed away September 9th, 2022. Eric was born in Louisville, KY to Elizabeth Akins & Stephen Knopf.
He graduated from DuPont Manual Youth Performing Art School in 1999 and attended Western KY University. He was a gifted writer, talented musician, and recipient of a few unfortunate haircuts.
He is survived by his wife, Kristen Knopf, his children, William Ezra & Ophelia Elizabeth Knopf, his mother and father, his stepmother, Melody Knopf, his siblings Amy Knopf, Brian (Shelley) Knopf, Van Knopf, Samuel Knopf, his grandmother Shirley Knopf, two nieces and one nephew.
A memorial service will be held at Newcomer, East Louisville, on Wednesday September 14th at 4 pm, with visitation from 2:30-4 pm and following the service until 6:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Eric's memory to The Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition which provides training and naloxone kits to the public to prevent overdose related deaths.
