William Jager Iii

William Jager III, 82, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. William was a very honest hard working man who loved his family. He was a very kind man and would do anything for anyone if they asked. He had a fun loving personality and he loved going to the lake spending time with friends playing cards. He never met a stranger he didn't like and he will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on June 28, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Merle (Sarr) Jager. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Judy Jager, Father, William Jager, Jr., Mother, Merle Jager, Son, Christopher D. Jager, Son-In-law, Dale Brewer, Grandchildren, Alisha Michelle Brewer, Travis Brewer, Brothers, Lenny Jager, and Dickey Jager.

William is survived by his loving family, Daughters, Lisa G. (Anthony) Hardesty and Kelly G. Jager; Grandchildren, David (Meagen) Hardesty, Jennifer Moss, William Hardesty, and Gessica Jager; Great-Grandchildren, Piper Lockard, Connor Hardesty, Devin Hardesty, Mila Moss, Talyon Moss, Brooklyn Hardesty, Pasiley Hardesty, Christian Richardson, Aaron Richardson, and Clinton Brewer, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Holly Cemetery in Fairdale, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in William's memory be made to Local Humane Society.
