William G."Bill" Cooke

October 14, 1951 — July 22, 2012

William G. "Bill" Cooke, 60, passed away on July 22, 2012. He retired from Ford Motor Company after over 35 years of service. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 28 Bonnie Sloan in New Albany and was a 1969 graduate of Providence High School.

Bill was born on October 14, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky to Matilda B. (Graf) Cooke and the late Colen G. Cooke. Along with his mother he is survived by his son, Tony Cooke (Vicky); siblings, Larry Joe Cooke (Shannon), Ronald Cooke (Debora), Lana Sartini; grandchildren, Victoria, Hanna, and Madison Cooke; and 5 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
