William Forrest Emerson, Sr.

William Forrest "Bill" Emerson, Sr., 65, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013. He loved his "Grand Babies" and was a generous "Paw Paw" who enjoyed watching them play sports. Bill loved the Kentucky Wildcats and fishing on his pontoon at Doe Valley Lake. He loved camping and hanging out with his friends swapping fish stories while Sammy, the fish dog, was by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bessie Emerson.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Susie; son, William Forrest "Billy" Emerson, Jr.; daughter, Carrie (Jeffery) Ward; grandchildren, Kylie Elizabeth Emerson, Madelyn Emerson and Connor Ward; sister, Linda Neilson of Sarasota Florida; nephew, Scott Neilson and a host of many friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, from 12p-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12pm at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home.
