William Francis Fields

William "Billy" Francis Fields, 84, of Fairdale, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. Billy was a dedicated family man who loved his family deeply. He was an avid outdoorsman fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. A jokester, cut-up, the story teller, and loved to laugh and have a good time with family and friends. He loved his dogs Chocco and Scoob. Billy will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on January 29, 1939 in Nashville, Indiana to Grover and Abbie (McCubbins) Fields. He is preceded in death by his Father, Grover Fields, Mother, Abbie L. Fields, Son, Jesse Lee Fields, Daughter, Lisa Gail Fields, Grandson, Jayden Hixenbaugh, Brother, Pete Fields, Sisters, Barbara Calhoun and Frieda Fields.

William is survived by his loving Wife of 63 years, Catherine E. Fields; Children, Teresa (Jim) Johnson, William E. Fields, Karen Pulido, Yvonne (Steve) Darland, Steven (Angela) Fields, and Vicki Fields; Grandchildren, Chrissy (Will) Richardson, Steven "Boog" Darland, Robby (Faith) Darland, Jared Hixenbaugh, Jaxen Hixenbaugh, Austin Fields, Carlos Pulido, Selena Pulido, Chase White, Jagger Fields, Matthew (Vanessa) Vardeman, Brandon (Danielle) Vardeman, and Emmie House; Great-Grandchildren, Lillian Darland, R.J. Darland, Cory Richardson, Will Richardson, Quintin Jackson, Ayla Vardeman, Luke Vardeman, and Kanan Vardeman; Sister, JoAnn Floyd, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy).
