William E. Ebling Iii

William E. Ebling III, 70, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Bill was an avid fisherman and a gifted gardener. He enjoyed watching sports and old Sci-Fi movies. Above all else, Bill loved spending time with his grandsons.

He was born on October 27, 1953 in New Albany, Indiana to the late William Ebling Jr. and Joyce Mundy Ebling.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cathy Ebling; son, Sean (Rose) Ebling; daughter, Sara (Chris) Walker; brothers, Kent (Terri) Ebling, Kevin (Roz) Ebling, Brad Ebling and Todd (Amy) Ebling; and grandsons, Sean Ebling Jr., Asher Ebling, and Hunter Ebling.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
