William E. Neal, Sr., 93, of Greenville, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at his home. Bill was a retired franchise owner for the DeLaval Co. and a retired bus driver from the NAFC School Corporation with 17 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Bill was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs. Over the years, Bill shared his faith by serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and in music ministry.
Bill was born on November 23, 1919 in LaGrange, Kentucky to the late Roger S. and Bertha B. (Taylor) Neal. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Pauline (Jeffries) Neal and son, William "Ed" Neal, Jr.; sister, Martha McGrew and brother, Joseph Neal.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula K. Warman and her husband, David of Greenville; grandchildren, Angela F. Bowman and her husband, Doug of Georgetown, Indiana, Amy M. Gresh and her husband, David of Greenville, William E. Neal, III of New Albany, and Bryan D. Warman and his wife, Sarah, of Jeffersonville; great grandchildren, Brad and Addy Bowman and Sophia and Carson Gresh; siblings, Margaret Shrader, Barbara Miller (Skip), Roger Neal, Jr. (Dee), Larry Neal (Harriet); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Monday, December 10 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) and from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesday. His Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 11 at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
