William H. Duffy

William Duffy departed this life on June 9, 2022. He was born to the union of James Duffy and Edna Sebree in Trenton, KY, on March 28, 1928. He was the youngest of three children. William accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Queen Anne Baptist Church in Trenton, KY, under the pastorate of the late Rev. J.E. Ladd. On moving to Louisville in the mid 1940's he joined Pleasant View Baptist Church. On July 19, 1950, he was united in holy matrimony to Dorothy A. Jordan who preceded him in death. Upon their marriage they moved from the area and joined Central Christian Church. He later joined Emmanuel Baptist Church on January 29, 1968, where he remained a member until his death.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters, Charlotte Ann Gaither, Geraldine Elizabeth Cook (Cornell) and Lois Christine Duffy; three sons, William Marshall Duffy (Sherrolyn), Martin Alan Duffy (Sondra) and Richard Neal Duffy; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; one niece; one nephew and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3815 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY, from 11am-12pm with a celebration of William's life beginning at 12pm.
