William Dickerson Sr.

William S. Dickerson, Sr., age 77 of Louisville passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was a retired employee of Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corporation having worked in both the Louisville, Kentucky and Macon, Georgia locations for more than 30 years. He was known to many as "Babe Brother".

He was preceded in death by his parents Shirley and Alexenia Dickerson and his brother Theodore Dickerson.

Mr. Dickerson is survived by his wife Helen B. Dickerson, son William S. Dickerson, Jr. (MaryAnne), daughters Fay E. Dickerson, Beverly Dickerson and Connie N. Mathews (Michael), 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also, he leaves behind a brother, James S. Dickerson, and five sisters, Catherine Stallard, Darlene Powell (Ronald), Betty June Wilson (Charles), Mary Virginia Mattingly (Jerome) and Rosetta Robinson all of Louisville. He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newcomer Funeral home located on 235 Juneau Drive, Middletown, Ky. with the burial service to follow immediately after the service. Visitation will be Friday evening 5-8 p.m.
