William "Vince" Vincent DeGeorge

William "Vince" Vincent DeGeorge, 52, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024. Vince enjoyed watching movies and TV shows, listening to music, playing games, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.

He was born on March 27, 1972 in New Albany, Indiana to William DeGeorge and Cathy Norwood. After high school Vince attended Ball State University and Indiana University Southeast. He entered into the United States Navy on September 9, 1997 in Louisville, Kentucky. While he served 11 years he earned several awards, metals, and ribbons. He was honorably discharged on April 24, 2008 in San Diego, California. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Martha (Vandle James) Norwood and Catherine (James Sr.) DeGeorge.

Vince is survived by his loving wife, Lisa DeGeorge; daughter, Sarah DeGeorge; mother, Cathy (beloved step-father Charles "Butch") LaHue; father, William V. DeGeorge, Sr.; best friends, Chris and Jeremy Herndon; mother and father-in-law, Makiko (Etsuo) Matsumoto; loving dog, Candy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the funeral home. 

The family requests that contributions in Vince’s memory be made to Kentucky Humane Society or National Kidney Foundation.
