William Ross Davis, 63, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on April 20, 2012 after a long fight with pancreatic cancer. When he passed, he was in the company and the love of his close friends and immediate family. He was born to Jane Davis in Laconia, Indiana in January of 1949. Bill went to school in Laconia and pursued his undergraduate and master's degrees in education at Indiana University Southeast.
Until his sickness prevented him, Davis was Senior Vice President, Director of Corporate Communication of New Hope Services for 24 years. At the finality of his career with New Hope, he was awarded and became founder of the William R. Davis Humanitarian Award. Prior to joining the New Hope family, bill taught at Parkwood and Riverside Elementary Schools.
It is with heave fingers and somber heart that this is written. Bill touched every life he came in contact with—and all for the better. His loss is a sincere bereavement for everyone who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Faulkner Davis; his stepdaughter and daughter, Jessica Mahanes and Sydney Davis; his sister and brother, Lisa Miller and John Davis; and his mother, Jane Davis.
