William B. Churchman

William Brien Churchman passed away at the age of 69 on February 25, 2023. Bill was born in Louisville, KY on December 7, 1953 to James and Evelyn Churchman. Some knew him as William or Bill; those closest to him called him Willie and Uncle Bill. He was a graduate of Moore High School, where he was the manager of multiple athletic teams. He excelled in many career fields but found his calling when he stepped into the IT world. William loved working on, repairing, and building computers and owned his own business doing so. In his free time, Bill loved listening to music, playing guitar, and cooking. He enjoyed spending time outside and playing with his dog. Bill was preceded in death by his father, James Aaron Churchman, Sr.; his mother, Evelyn Mae (O'Brien) Churchman; his younger sister, Ranee Katherine Churchman; and his beloved dog, Oreo.

Bill is survived by his older brother James Churchman, Jr. and sister-in-law Brenda Churchman; his nieces, Becky Fighera, and Michelle Diaz; his nephew-in-law Ryan Diaz; and his great nephews and nieces, Ty Diaz, Braden Diaz, Gina Fighera, and Aubrey Fighera; and a host of relatives and friends.

A gathering to celebrate William's life will be from 3 to 6pm on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
