William "Bill" Pearl

William "Bill" I. Pearl, 75, of Louisville, passed away September 26, 2013.
He was born August 8, 1938 in Ft. Knox, KY to the late John and Thelma Pearl. Bill enjoyed computers and photography. Bill was a truck driver for many years and was a member and employee of the Southwest YMCA.
Besides his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Howard Pearl, and son Gary Gividen.
Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rita Pearl; 2 sons: Mark Gividen of Battletown, KY and Bryan (Karen) Pearl of Owensboro, KY; 4 daughters: Laranda Thompson of Shepherdsville, KY, Allyson (John) Pearl of Fairfield, CT, Kendra (Doug) Bennett of Orange County, CA, and Trina (Danny) Patty of Hardinsburg, KY; 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Kenneth (Ruby) Pearl of New Albany, IN and 1 sister Doris (Eugene) Frieburger of New Albany, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until time of service.
