William David Aikens

William D. "Billy" Aikens, 40, passed away on Sunday February 12, 2023. Billy suffered from epilepsy which claimed his life. He suffered greatly in his adult life. He is remembered as a happy-go- lucky child and teenager with an infectious laugh. He was generous and caring to those in need and loyal to those who earned his trust. He attended St Margaret Mary elementary and Trinity HS.

Billy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Robin and Dick Bowles; his father, David Aikens; his brother, Andrew Aikens (Amber); his uncle, Fred Friedmann (Patty); his aunt, Lynn Murrell (Brad); grandma, Rita Bowles; step-brothers, Rick (Kelly), Danny (Ari) and Tim (Laura) Bowles; cousins, Lauren Murrell, Erin Palmer (Jon); and a number of uncles, cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Billy is at peace now, his demons slain, and glowing, fully restored in the presence of God. Visitation will be held 9:00-11:00 am on Tuesday February 21, 2023 with Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 am, both at Epiphany Catholic Church 914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Louisville, KY 40223. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery following a luncheon reception.
