Willetta Mae (Richey) Chappell

Willetta Mae (Richey) Chappell, 74, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was born on November 13, 1948, in New Albany, Indiana, to Robert "John," Sr., and Margie (Jackson) Richey. In addition to her parents, Willetta was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby.

Willetta is survived by her daughter, Roberta Hurlburt (Troy); grandchildren, Krystian, Nickalus, and Troy Hurlburt; siblings, Robert Richey, Jr., Virgie Howlett (Calvin), and James Richey, Sr. (Dana); and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 10:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Willetta's wishes.
