Willard Lawson

Willard Ray "Tubby" Lawson, age 78 of Prospect passed away Friday, March 27, 2009 at Baptist Hospital East. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Disponett Lawson. He was a long time employee of Meadow Gold Dairy and retired owner of Convenient Food Marts #76 and #180. He was a member of the Swigert Middletown Masonic Lodge #218, Middletown VFW Post #1170 and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.



Mr. Lawson is survived by his daughter, Lisa Lawson Turner (Chuck), granddaughters, Rebecca Lynn and Sarah Nicole; brother, Russell T. Lawson (Sherilyn); sisters, Joann Lawson Long (Robert) and Mary Lawson Hance (Chuck).



A celebration of Mr. Lawson's life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009 from the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville. Visitation will be from 2-8pm Tuesday, March 31 with Masonic Services at 7pm. Interment will be in Historic Middletown Cemetery.
