Wilda M Salyer

Wilda M. Salyer, 82, of Louisville, KY passed away on August 26, 2022. She was born on August 18, 1940 to Denver and Doris Hedrick and was raised alongside four siblings.

Wilda married the love of her life, Robert Salyer in 1958 and together they raised two children. She loved to read, quilt, and shop. She belonged to the Red Hat Society for a short time. She loved her four-legged companions, Koby and Ginger.

Wilda is preceded by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert Salyer; her parents, Denver and Doris Hedrick; her son, Bobby Salyer; her brother, Charles Hedrick, and her granddaughter, Sarah Salyer. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Debra (David Barnes) Walker; her grandchildren, Lee (Heather) Salyer, Heather (Jason) Knight, Jennifer (Andrew) Boyle, and Michael Salyer; her great-grandchildren, Samuel, Hannah, Lili, Emma, Alyssa, Jayden, and Cassidy Mosser, and her siblings, Glen Hedrick, June Alderman, and Rebecca (Henry) Hartman.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 10:00am – 11:00am with services to begin at 11:00am. Burial will take place following the service at Louisville Memorial Gardens East (11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241).

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Kentucky Humane Society (1000 Lyndon Lane Suite B, Louisville KY 40222).
