Wayne S. Gullett, Sr.

Wayne S. Gullett, Sr., 70, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany. Wayne was a 1961 graduate of New Albany High School and after graduating joined the National Guard. He was a journeyman printer and a retired truck driver. Wayne was a life-time member of the Owner/Operator Independent Driver's Association, a member of the Mayflower Society, St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany and a former member of St. Mary's Altar Society.

Wayne was born on August 23, 1943 in New Albany to the late Charles and Geneva (Freiberger) Gullett. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Gullett, Sr.

He is survived by his sons, Wayne Gullett, Jr. (Stacy), William "Joe" Gullett, Donnie P. Gullett (Tina); sister, Sharon Gullett; sister-in-law, Virginia Gullett; grandchildren, Brandon, Justin McConnell, Dustin, Shawn, Anna Kate Gullett; great-grandchildren, Jayden Rose McConnell and Landon Gullett.

Visitation will be from 12 to 8 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 E 8th Street, New Albany) with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the American Diabetes Association.
