Wayne D. Rolen Ii

Wayne D. Rolen II, 44, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 19, 2022. He was born on November 26, 1977, to Wayne D. Rolen & Reva Kasey.

Wayne served his country in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Male High School, Class of 1996. During that time he met his wife Kimberly and the "high school sweethearts" were married on April 24, 2004. Together they raised a family with two beautiful daughters. Wayne achieved his Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and his Doctorate degree. Wayne was employed as an occupational therapist with the VA Hospital for 15+ years.

Wayne was always determined to fix anything that was broken. He was a jack-of-all-trades, teaching himself how to solve problems and fix things that needed repair. He loved the outdoors: hiking, fishing, and camping. He made custom silver jewelry pieces such as earrings, rings, and pendant necklaces and loved gifting them to his loved ones. He was a great photographer, had a great sense of humor, and loved spending time with his girls. He was a wonderful leader and father to his children. He was a big fan of music and loved a good jam-session on Rock Band.

Wayne is preceded by his father, Wayne D. Rolen. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Kimberly Rolen; his three lovely daughters, MacKenzie, Molly, and Harper; his parents, Reva (Dennie) Kasey; his siblings, Steven, Josh, Eva (Owen), and Tina; his step-mom, Colleen Napier Rolen of Hindman, Kentucky, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will all miss him very much.

A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243) from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Military Honors will take place at 4:00pm.
