Wayne S. Byrn, 95, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. He was a United States Army veteran that proudly served his country during WWII. Upon his retirement from the Louisville Naval Ordinance Station, Wayne began his second career as a school bus driver for West Clark School Corporation.
He was born on June 17, 1927, in New Salisbury, Indiana, to Hugh and Margaret (Scheler) Byrn. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his siblings, Barney Byrne and Pauline Club.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 52 years, Connie (Hill) Byrn; siblings, Maxine Merk, Glennis Ross, and Donald Byrn; sister-in-law, Kathy Byrn; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Wayne's wish was to be cremated, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care.
