Wanda Joyce Winters, 71, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
She was born on July 3, 1951 in Shelby County, Kentucky to Lester and Ruby (Wilburn) Winters. Wanda was a journalist for many years and used to interview country music singers for the Louisville and Jeffersonville papers. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded by her father, Lester Winters; mother, Ruby Koehler; sister, Deborah Winters; brother, Phillip Winters; sister-in-law, Judy Winters; brother-in-law, Paul Carraher.
Wanda is survived by her son, Darrell (Lydia) Stanley; 5 grandchildren, Jordyn Stanley, Marissa Lingerfelt, Grant Stanley, Hunter Stanley and Haley Stanley; 2 great grandchildren, Cade Michael Stanley and Jordan Ray Lingerfelt; 6 siblings, David Winters, Mike Winters, Edward (Sandy) Winters, Darlene Carraher, Paul (Bobbie) Winters, Susan (Freddie) Gutierrez; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
