Wanda J. Johnson

Wanda J. Johnson, 85, of Louisville, KY passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014. She was the former Wanda Taylor and was a member of Valley View Church.

She was born on August 9, 1929 in Ohio County, KY to the late Myrl and Virginia Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward William Alvey, and brother, Billy Taylor.

Wanda is survived by her children, Mike Alvey (Marsha), David W. Alvey (Debra), Patricia Johnson (Danny), and Deborah Shutt; siblings, Paul Taylor, Carolyn Stewart (Paul), Jane Phelps (Noah); 10 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3pm to 8pm Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home(10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A Funeral Service to honor the life of Wanda will be held Wednesday at 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
