Wanda Fay Harris

Wanda Fay Harris, 82, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. Wanda was the loving and faithful wife of Robert for 57 years, traveling with him wherever the US Army took him. She was a loving and dedicated mother to two children, two granddaughters and three great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and time with her family and friends. She and Robert were founding members of New Bethel Church. Her race is over and she is rejoicing with her savior.

She was born on March 27, 1940 in Vanburen, Arkansas to Truman and Bula (Medlock) Ellison. She is preceded in death by her Father, Truman Ellison, Mother, Bula Ellison, Husband, Robert A. Harris, Daughter, Theresa M. Harris, and Sister, Mary Busick.

Wanda is survived by her loving family, Son, Rocky A. Harris; Granddaughters, Emily (Nick) Craddock and Alayna (Andrew) Paige; Great-Grandchildren, Matilda Craddock, Julian Paige, and Theodora Craddock; Brother, Bill (Fran) Freeman, Brother, Robert Ellison, Brother, Neal(Patsy) Ellison, Brother, Paul (Opal) Ellison, Sister, Pearl (Winfred) Williams, and Brother-In-Law, David Busick, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy. Louisville, KY. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky
