Wanda Campbell, ag 65 of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away peacefully and surround by family on February 14, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Wanda was born to her late mother Betty Campbell and survived by father Sammy Campbell on June 27, 1957. She was the oldest of five children. Siblings include Patricia, Christine, Guthrie, and preceded in death by Samuel. Wanda often shared stories of picking vegetables in fields, working near or in the barn, and walking to school on even wintery days.
Wanda is survived by her four children, Teresa, Raymond, Duron and Hailey; grandchildren, Hailey, Derek, Xavier, Nikkiah, Jace, Raylynn, Malik, Emilyn and preceded in death by Katilyn; great-grandchildren, Roman and Solomon. Wanda was a devoted aunt, cousin and friend to many.
In 2017, Wanda was baptized at Shelbyville First Christian Church. She graduated from Shelby County High School. Wanda raised her children and loved her grandbabies courageously. She never turned from tough trails ahead. She faced them with strength.
Wanda loved spending time with her family, helping others, cooking, listening to music and being outdoors. She was loving, generous, kind and resourceful. She was known by "Granny" to many. She made friends everywhere she went. Wanda's smile, recipes, and warm hugs will be missed.
A celebration of Wanda's life will be at 11am Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Shelbyville First Christian Church, 1000 Eminence Pike, Shelbyville, Kentucky 40065.
