Walter Leon Reed

Walter Leon "Lee Lee" Reed, passed away on February 3, 2022. He was a graduate of Shelby County High School. Lee Lee attended Cross Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. In his earlier years, Lee Lee trained and worked out with Rev. Louis Coleman and won several Golden Gloves Championships. He was an avid dog lover and a faithful UofL fan that never missed a game. Lee Lee loved to sing, play guitar and was always the life of the party. He had a kind and giving heart and never met a stranger. Lee Lee will be truly missed and will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Farris and his sister, Monica Farris.

Lee Lee leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, MaKenna Reed; mother, Brenda Daugharty; sister, Tonya (Fred) Chinn; brother, Darryl (Ann) Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A memorial gathering will be February 11, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12pm-2pm with a celebration of Lee Lee's life beginning at 2pm.

The family wishes to thank the nurses at Norton Audubon Hospital for the love and care that they showed Walter. We would also like to thank all of the family and friends that called, texted, visited, showing their support and continuing to pray for our family. He will be missed!
