Walter J. "Chain Drive" Lichwa, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
He was born on November 2, 1953 in Wheeling, West Virginia to John and Kazimiera Lichwa. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Tom Lichwa, Tony Lichwa and Josephine Lichwa, and his nephew, David Stoker.
Walter will always be remembered for being a free spirit; he retired from the open road as a truck driver. In his younger years he was a amateur race car driver, Walter also enjoyed watching Nascar, and cooking shows. He loved riding his motorcycle and going on his annual trip to Chillicothe, Ohio. Walter will be remembered for many things to so many people; but most of all he will be remembered for the love he had for his daughter, grandchildren, siblings, and his nieces and nephews.
Walter is survived by his loving daughter, Nancy (Curtis) Lichwa, grandchildren, Kayla Lichwa, Angel Fields, CJ Johnson, and Ricky Johnson, his siblings, Kathy Stoker and John Lichwa Jr. and numerous other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
