Walter F. Nance

Walter F. "Waldo" Nance, 86, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Waldo had worked at Honey Crème Doughnuts in New Albany for over 25 years. He also was a former employee of Cherry Valley Golf Course in New Albany, loved bingo and betting the horses as well as playing golf.

He was born on July 31, 1924 in New Albany, Indiana to the late John W. and Catherine J. (Black) Nance. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Nance, Doris Jones, Louis E. Nance, Edna Shireman and Nettie Reardon.

Waldo is survived by his brothers, John and Robert Nance of New Albany; sisters, Mary Mashtare of Plattsburg, New York and Dorothy Nance of New Albany; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His Visitation will be from 9 AM to 1 PM on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (formerly Generations Funeral Home at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). The Funeral Service will be 1 PM on Friday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
