Walter Dallas Emert

Walter Dallas Emert, 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. Walter was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Walt spent a lifetime as a printer at Standard Gravure and loved his job. He was a hard worker and had many hobbies, which include printing, woodworking, crafting, and creating anything with his hands. Walter will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on June 25, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to Walter and Sudie (Driver) Emert. He is preceded in death by his Father, Walter Thomas Emert, Mother, Sudie Graves Driver, and Son, Steven Thomas Emert.

Walter is survived by his loving family, Daughters, Sherri Lynn Hardin and Laura Ann (Thomas) Brown; Grandchildren, Steven Dallas Herbert, Jereme (Kayla) Brown, Rachel (Chase) Vancelette, Lindsay Emert, and Cassie Emert; Great-Grandchildren, Noah Vancelette, Anna Vancelette, and William "Will" Brown; Siblings, Sally Emert, Alma F. Emert, Barbara Hawkins, Phyllis Hawkins, Sue Garrett, Judy Thornberry, Audrey Burba, and William Emert; Ex-Wife, Betty Emert, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Walter was cared for by Sherri and Betty over the past year when his health declined.
