Vivian Ridener, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Louisville, KY, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 13, 1957, in Old Landing, KY, Vivian lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and a profound love for those around her.
For 42 years, she poured her heart into her work as a nursing assistant at Bashford East Nursing Home, where her strong spirit and nurturing nature left an indelible mark on the lives of countless residents and their families. Vivian's proudest accomplishment was her retirement from this role, a reflection of her unwavering commitment and care for others.
Vivian attended Eastern High School, where she cultivated friendships that spanned a lifetime. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she shared her joys and passions with her family, including her beloved husband David Ridener, son Chris Ridener, and granddaughter Joelle Ridener, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-Nephews. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and her memory will forever be cherished by them.
A woman of many interests, Vivian found joy in playing Bunko and Bingo, taking trips with her family, and doting on her beloved dogs. She was a loving, compassionate, and giving soul who created warmth and love in everyone’s life. Her strength of character and nurturing demeanor inspired those who knew her.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Stamper and Jodella Stamper; and siblings, Jr. Stamper, Kathy Caudill, Sharon Harmon, Glen Stamper, and Shelia Strange, who undoubtedly are watching over her with pride and love.
Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate through her family, whose lives she touched immeasurably. The visitation will be held on September 8, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. A funeral service will follow on September 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Vivian Ridener was a remarkable woman whose light will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
