Vivian Rose (Kruer) Constantine, 81, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on April 5, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1943, in her family’s home in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to the late Urban and Bertha (Glotzbach) Kruer.
Vivian graduated from Providence High School and was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. While raising her own five daughters, Vivian opened her home and provided babysitting services for neighbors and friends. She had a heart of gold, always offering love and care to the numerous children she cared for over the years.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Michael Constantine, brother Urban Albert Kruer, and sister Linda (Kruer) Wells, and her son-in-law Mark Aemmer. Vivian is survived by her five daughters, Karen (Oliver) Davis-Powers, Cheryl (Jody) Martin, Jill Aemmer, Elizabeth (Adam) Miller, and Hollee (Jeremy) Smith. Her thirteen grandchildren, Kayla (Dan) Miller, Oliver Powers, Jr., Zachary Powers, Brandon Davis, Carter Davis, Alex Martin, Sidney Martin, Lane Aemmer, Emery Aemmer, Isabel Miller, Isaac Miller, Ava Miller, and Cole Smith will all greatly miss and forever cherish their “Nana”. Vivian is also survived by her two sisters, Rita (Kruer) Ward and Alma (Kruer) Graf, as well as one brother, Anthony Carl Kruer, sister-in-law Susan (Constantine) O’Grady, aunt Jane Alyward, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church and burial to follow in the church cemetery.
