Vivian Catherine (Kruer) Bishop, 86, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Vivian was a long-time member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church where she was very involved with their quilting group. She was a master gardener, served as a CASA Volunteer, and enjoyed being a part of the Floyd County Extension Homemakers and a member of the Wandering Widows.
She was born on June 12, 1933, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Frank and Ruby Campbell Kruer. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Jerry" Bishop, Jr.; sons, Alan Bishop and Douglas Bishop; daughters, Gail Bishop and Angela Bishop; brother, Donald Kruer; and sister, Joyce Burkhardt.
Vivian is survived by her children, Terry (Debra) Bishop, Vickie (Clifford) Wilson, Deborah (Ralph) Crawford, Karen (Scott) Stoner, Curtis Bishop, and Dennis (Donna) Bishop; daughters-in-law, Veronica Bishop and Cindy Bishop; 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) with additional Visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Chapel (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
