Virnel Blair, 69, of Radcliff, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
She was born on March 14, 1954 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Vernon and Irene (Freitas) Adkins. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Dennis Michael Blair and her brother, Henry.
Virnel was a loving a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Along with her husband, she was a member of the Lions Club. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting; making her own jewelry and any and all other original pieces. Virnel was such a compassionate and giving person; taking care of others was her job and she did it well. To know her was to love her, she will truly be missed.

Virnel is survived by her loving family, daughter, Regina Thornton, son, Douglass M. Blair, daughter, Tracie M. Blair, 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, her brother William and a host of extended family and friends that will miss her very much.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 16th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, August 18th at Holy Family Catholic Church (3938 Poplar Level Rd) with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
