Virginia "Gail" (Metcalf) Satterfield, 70, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Gail retired from Paramount Plywood and was a member of Parkview Christian Church in New Albany. She was a very patriotic, kind, and giving person.
Gail was born on December 30, 1940 in Fort Knox, KY to the late Joseph E. and Virginia E. (Reeder) Metcalf. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Sonnie Loman and Nova Satterfield; and brother, Glen Metcalf.
She is survived by her children, Patrick Satterfield of Louisville, Orene "Kay" Huddleston of Taswell, IN; step-children, Rhonda Bowles (Ken) of Milltown, IN, Jeffery Satterfield (Gina) of Marengo, IN; brothers, Richard and Michael Metcalf, both of Georgetown, IN; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, April 29, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at McDonald's Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #42 (4530 Paoli Pike, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119).
